North Surrey, where the urban sprawl of London fades into the Green Belt and meets Villages and countryside. That’s where you find our Michael Everett & Company offices.
Undoubtedly a prime commuter area, all our offices are under 20 miles from Central London and on a fine day on Epsom Downs a spectacular panorama gives views from Heathrow to the West, to Docklands in the East with the Wembley arch beyond - almost close enough to touch.
Understandably, the area is hugely sought after because of its convenience. Trains take only 35-40 minutes to Waterloo or Victoria on the Epsom line and alternate routes from Tadworth or Epsom Downs reach London Bridge and Croydon. The M25 from junction 8 or 9 gives access to the motorway system and brings both Gatwick and Heathrow within about half an hours drive.
Epsom is our busiest office, positioned in the very heart of the town. Epsom is ever expanding and is a typically vibrant commuter market town. Property types range from one and two bedroom flats in the town centre to luxury executive homes set in the RAC Country Club environs. Values vary accordingly, but there is something for everyone and the area is especially renowned for its fantastic selection of quality 1930’s semi detached and detached houses. The town boasts almost all of the major supermarkets, the Ashley Shopping centre, a regular Thursday market and a wide range of pubs and restaurants.
Banstead is another thriving commuter town. Smaller than Epsom, but with its own busy High Street with Waitrose and M&S as its major attractions. Property tends to be mainly older style semi detached and detached of high value and good quality, but again a wide range of house type and style is available.
Ashtead and Walton are our Village offices. Very different in many ways but each with their own identity, charm and diverse attractions. Surprisingly, they both offer a complete range of homes for first timers and families to retirement homes.
The area generally abounds with excellent primary and preparatory schools and top class state secondary education. The famous City of London Freemans School and Epsom College are landmark educational destinations. The area is famous for its long connection with horseracing and Epsom Downs still attracts many thousands of racegoers every year for the Derby in June.
